Dear Colleagues:

As you are aware, the Annual General Meeting and Memorial Service are coming up very soon on June 4 and 5. This year, we will be adding a very special event, a Tribute Dinner to celebrate the many contributions of former CAFP President Léo Duguay.

I am very grateful for the efforts of Co-Chairs, Hon. Andy Mitchell and the
Rt. Hon. Joe Clark, who organized the dinner and the Tribute.

For many, many years, Léo has served as our breadwinner, organizing fundraising dinners for a host of former luminaries from all parties. He has been our champion on the Hill, the leader of many Study Tours around the world, and an optimistic and enthusiastic volunteer for the Association. Thanks to his fundraising efforts, we have been able to continue operating and to offer many opportunities to you, our members.

I hope you will be able to attend our AGM, Memorial Service and Tribute to Léo Duguay. Details on how to register are found below. Additionally, we are inviting those who wish to do so, to also contribute to the Léo Duguay Endowment Fund, which will be used to support former parliamentarians and Canadian Parliamentary democracy initiatives. The details may be found here. Those contributing $1,000 or more will receive two complementary tickets to attend the Tribute dinner.
