Matthew Dubé

Matthew Dubé was first elected in 2011 in the riding of Chambly–Borduas, which then became Beloeil–Chambly. Originally from Vallée-du-Richelieu on the South Shore of Montreal, Matthew was re-elected in 2015. He represented his constituents until 2019, sitting on several House of Commons committees, including Public Safety and National Security. He was the New Democratic Party critic for several files, including infrastructure and public safety. Having served as Deputy House Leader, he was elected NDP Caucus Chair twice.

A McGill University graduate in political science and history, Matthew is currently Vice President at Proof Strategies. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians (CAFP), he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Douglas Coldwell Layton Foundation, which promotes social democracy.

Today, he lives in Ottawa with his wife, Chantale, and their children, Lydia and Danielle.
