On October 25 to November 4, 2023, the CAFP Taiwan Study Tour will give each participant a first-hand experience of the three different scenarios of three former colonies’ transition from colonialism to varying degrees of a market economy and a democracy. Taiwan was a former Portuguese and Japanese colony that transitioned to a full democratic state.

Optional Extension to Hong Kong/Macau November 4-8, 2023
Hong Kong was a former British colony which sovereignty was returned to China under a “One Country, Two System” market economy, since 1997. Macau was a former Portuguese colony that transition totally to Chinese administrative rule in 1999.

We encourage you to reserve and pay for your land tour and air tickets, as soon as possible.
The lifting of quarantine early this year in Asia has put tremendous pressure on airlines and hotels which will not guarantee a room or seat until it is fully paid four to five months in advance.
Since we are limiting the group to 20-25 people, we will be accepting RSVPs on a first come first served basis. Please RSVP using the form found in the register button.
A $3,000 deposit is required to reserve the land portion of the study tour. The full amount is due on June 30, 2023.

For the deposit of $3,000.00. It is fully refundable up to 30th June when we have to make full payment to secure the rooms, bus transportation, high speed rail tickets, special meals, local guides, entrance tickets, etc.
Once the full payment is made by the 30th June, 2023 then the deposit and full payment is not refundable as the travel agent would have to pay all the local cost to secure our rooms, local transportation, meals, etc. to ensure that our trip goes ahead. They have signed the contract to perform with the local services to guarantee our non-cancellation of the trip.
